Breaking

  • Send a message as text or bytes instead of a numeric type (2f29fcd8)

The send API and the send_message MCP tool take kind (TEXT or BYTES) in place of the Artemis message type number and the bodyBase64 flag. A BYTES body is base64 and is refused with a 400 when it is not valid base64. Bytes now go out as a bytes message over both the Core and the management channel, and a text message sent by a plugin over the management channel is no longer base64-decoded by the broker. The send dialog offers Text or Bytes (base64) in place of a free type number and checks the base64 on blur.

  • Pass the standard OpenTelemetry variables through .env (2435aa1c)

.env.example lists the OpenTelemetry SDK variables Studio reads (endpoint, protocol, headers, the three signal exporters, service name, resource attributes, sampler, propagators, metric interval and the SDK switch), and compose.prod.yaml and compose.ha.yaml pass them to Studio. They are empty by default and an empty one counts as unset, so nothing is exported until you set OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_ENDPOINT and a signal's exporter in .env. Before, the variables had to be uncommented in the compose file itself.

Fixed

  • Let Administration, Configuration and Settings fill the window's width (abedccdb)

The open section of a page with a section list stopped at 64rem, so on a wide window everything to its right stayed empty. The section now fills the column beside the list:

    • Tables, lists and cards in every section use the page's width; only prose keeps a reading measure.
    • A setting is one row across the panel: its label and hint on the start side, its control in the middle with its message beneath, and where it stands and the way back at the end. A narrow panel (a zoomed window) stacks the row top to bottom.
    • A cluster's Connection form puts the cluster and its addresses beside the accounts, two columns at most, with the check and save bar across both.
    • Encryption keys and the Support bundle are no longer held to a narrow column, and the Register cluster button is as wide as its words instead of the section's.

Security

  • Drop Ubuntu's unused Pebble binary from the image (cf10c18d)

The runtime base ships /usr/bin/pebble, a service manager built with a Go runtime that has a critical and several high vulnerabilities (GO-2026-6612 and others). It belongs to no package, so the build's apt-get upgrade never patches it, and Studio never runs it. The image no longer contains it.
